Biography
Beginnings
Amit Bhadana grew up in a Gujjar family on the outskirts of Delhi and studied law. He created his YouTube channel in 2012 but began posting regularly in 2017, writing, acting and editing short sketches himself.
Desi humour
His videos portray small-town and village characters — friends, teachers, parents — using Hindi laced with the slang of rural Delhi and Haryana, with no swearing. Their clean, relatable humour made them popular with families as well as young viewers.
Record growth
His channel grew extremely quickly between 2017 and 2019, making him one of the first individual Indian YouTubers to pass 20 million subscribers. He has also released music and longer narrative videos.
Influence
Bhadana is often cited as an example of how Hindi-language creators from outside big cities built huge audiences on YouTube as cheap mobile data reached rural India.
